Role Overview
Join our Donor Engagement Committee in creating meaningful connections with our supporters through the timeless art of handwritten correspondence. We provide all supplies needed: note cards, birthday cards, message
guides, addresses, and stamps.
What You'll Do

Write thank-you messages to donors who support Birthday Connections.

Send birthday cards to donors celebrating their special day.

Address envelopes, prepare cards for mailing, and drop them in the mail.

Report volunteer hours monthly.

Newsletter
Virtual Position | 2-4 hours/month | Flexible schedule | Monthly check-ins with Marketing Chair
Role Overview
We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented volunteer to help craft engaging quarterly newsletters that connect our community of supporters, volunteers, and partners with the impact of their contributions. This role is essential for maintaining relationships with our donors through sharing impactful stories and experiences.
What You'll Do

Draft and design quarterly email newsletters that highlight organizational updates, birthday celebrations, and upcoming opportunities.

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Marketing Chair to gather content, stories, and photos for each edition.

Compile and format content using our email marketing platform.

Track newsletter metrics (open rates, click rates) and provide brief reports on engagement.

Maintain our newsletter calendar and suggest content themes aligned with organizational priorities.
What We're Looking For

Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and grammar.

Community Engagement

Role Overview
As a Community Engagement & Sponsorship Ambassador, you'll be a bridge between Birthday Connections and the Kansas City business community, helping secure partnerships that support our mission.
What You'll Do

Research and identify potential corporate partners whose values align with our mission.

Make outreach calls and send emails.

Pitch Birthday Connections' mission and sponsorship packages with enthusiasm and authenticity

Follow up with interested businesses and guide them through the sponsorship process.

Represent Birthday Connections at networking events, community gatherings, and business mixers (optional).

Track engagement activities and maintain communication records.

Collaborate with Birthday Connections leadership to refine messaging and strategies.
