Birthday Package Assembly

Role Overview

Birthday Package Assembly volunteers are essential to our operations. You'll work alongside 2-3 fellow volunteers to receive incoming product deliveries, verify orders, and organize Birthday Packages.

​

What You'll Do

• Unpack and receive product deliveries from Amazon and other vendors.

• Check products against order sheets to ensure accuracy.

• Sort and place items into designated birthday packages.

• Reference individual order forms to gather additional items from inventory.

• Organize completed packages on shelves for distribution.

​

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 2 hours.

• Ability to bend and reach to access items at varying heights.

• Ability to lift up to 5 pounds.

• Ability to read small print on labels and order forms.

• Work as a team.

Pickup & Delivery

In-Person Position  |  1+ hours/month  |  Flexible weekday schedule  |  Minimal supervision required

Role Overview

As a Pick-up and Delivery Volunteer, you play a critical role in our mission serving as the vital link between our Birthday Market and the families, delivering the Birthday Packages to the partner agencies who distribute the Birthday Packages to their families.

​

What You’ll Do

• Pick up Birthday Packages (gifts) and sweet treats from Birthday Connections headquarters.

• Deliver both items to designated partner agencies.

• Complete deliveries Monday through Friday between 9 am and 1 pm (special arrangements available if needed).

• Report volunteer hours after each delivery.

• Follow specific pickup and delivery instructions via SignUp Genius and on each Birthday Package.​

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to lift and transport Birthday Packages and sweet treats.

• Sign confidentiality and nondisclosure forms.

• Available for weekday deliveries (Monday-Friday).

Sweet Treat Coordinator

Role Overview

The Sweet Treat Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring families receive their sweet treats of choice as part of their Birthday Package This behind-the-scenes position connects families' sweet treat requests with our network of bakers.

​

What You'll Do

• Review and process family sweet treat orders from Airtable database.

• Match orders and communicate with appropriate bakers.

• Coordinate pickup/delivery between bakers and volunteers using SignUp Genius.

• Track order fulfillment and follow up as needed.

• Maintain organized records and communicate with ED when necessary.

• Schedule volunteers using Sign Up Genius.
